Growing up I was an athlete. I was always running around outside playing any sport I could think of and some were even made up. At this point in my life my metabolism was really high so I never thought of the food I was putting into my body. It wasn't until my third year of college did I notice a change.
See the first two years I had a softball scholarship so my metabolism didn't slow down there. So I would eat like three hamburgers during one meal then like a whole pizza for dinner. Basically a lot of carbs since I would burn them off during practices or games. By the end of my second year as softball started winding down I didn't change my food habits since I was not longer playing. And well... lets face it... all that food my body was storing didn't waste time finding the right places to move in.
I gained about 15 lbs after that and the pounds just kept coming in. I never knew how to lose the weight. I would workout like I had before while I was in school but just when I would see improvement, (BAM!) the weight would pile back on. It wasn't until this last year that I realized just because you work out at the gym for hours at a time means you will automatically be in the best shape of your life.
I want to share my eating habits with you thought this blog and perhaps give some encouragement and some stories that have happened to me in the process. Maybe you will be able to relate to my stories and feel compelled to masticate healthy. 😄
